WHEN AND WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR SOCCER?
Registration dates are August 25, 2007 at Eagles Landing High Scholl from 9:00 AM to last class at 3:00 PM. Class’s start on the hour. There will be a night registration on August 28, 2007 at Olympic Heights High Scholl starting at 7:00 PM SHARP.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Registration fee is $120.00 for the first child and $100.00 for each sibling.

WHAT AGE DO WE START?
Children must be entering Kindergarten in Aug. of 2007

WHEN DOES THE SOCCER SEASON START?
Soccer season starts in November and ends in late February.

HOW MANY SEASONS ARE THERE?
There are two seasons. Regular season is an 11 v 11 format and starts in November and ends in February. Mini season is a 5 v 5 format and this starts in March and ends in late May.

WHEN DO THE CHILDREN PLAY
The children practice one night a week. This day is up to the coach and will not be known until teams are put together. The younger children practice at 6:15 PM and the older children practice at 7:45 PM
Games are played on one day of the weekend, Saturday or Sunday. This is not known until schedules are made.

WHERE DO THE CHILDREN PRACTICE AND PLAY?
There are two locations where teams practice and play. There are fields at South County Regional Park and at Loggers Run Park; there are maps in the handbook you will receive at registration. Fields will be determined after schedules are made.

WHAT WILL MY CHILD NEED TO PLAY SOCCER?
Your child will need to have for practice and games, a Ball that is the right size for age group, Shin Guards and Soccer Cleats.

W HAT IF MY CHILD WANTS TO BE ON A SPACIFIC TEAM or PRACTICE ON A CERTAIN NIGHT.
With 1500 children in our league, we cannot honor request.

DO I HAVE TO WATCH THE PAY’S VIDEO AGAIN?
Yes, the PAY’S video must be seen every year. If you were in Flag Football, and you saw the video for this Sport and you have your PAY’S Certificate you will not have to watch the video for soccer. This year you can watch the PAY’S Video on line at GBYSA.ORG. In addition, you can down load the certificate after you watch the video, bring the certificate to registration and you will not have to watch the video at registration.

HOW GBYSA DETERMINES AN AGE GROUP:
We use the player’s age as of August 1, 2007
