Florida Youth Soccer Recreation
Club Of The Year 08
On August 9, 2008, at
the Annual General Meeting of the Florida Youth Soccer Association,
GBYSA was recognized as "Recreation Club of the Year"
by the FYSA Board of Directors.
This award acknowledges the hard work and dedication of the
Recreational Operations Committee. Through the use of small
sided games on smaller fields, stressing player development,
not scores or win loss records in our youngest age groups, providing
professional coaches to educate our volunteer coaches in the
psychological and physical aspect of youth sports and providing
parent education we have succeeded in providing an educational,
safe and fun environment for the children of our community to
learn and enjoy the game of soccer.
Our Board of Directors and volunteer coaches, past and present,
have worked tirelessly to make this possible and hope that the
future board members and coaches continue to make GBYSA
