club news - US Soccer Club adds boca united to Florida Premier League!!!
From Eric Eichmann, Director GBYSA/Boca United FC:

The club is proud to inform you that US Club Soccer has officially announced "Boca United / South Florida United Soccer Academy" as one of only three new clubs in south Florida being added to their Florida Premier League for the 2012-13 season
(see press release).

The Florida Premier League is part of a national network called the National Premier League and pertains to our U13 through U18  age groups only (boys and girls).  Our selection into this national network of leagues places our club among the most elite clubs in the state and indeed the country.  It will provide the club coaching staff with yet another tool to challenge our players in reaching their full potential through competitive matches.

We are extremely excited about this news as we feel our acceptance into the Florida Premier League is a very important step towards our ultimate goal of entering the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) with our GIRLS program.   The ECNL is the highest level of play for girls in the United States at this time.

With regards to our BOYS program, we have now joined a select group of elite clubs in Florida including all of the current US Soccer Development Academy clubs within the state.  We will not only benefit from the competition but our organization is strategically positioned for strong consideration for entry into the US Development Academy in the future.  The US Soccer Development Academy is the highest level of play for boys in the United States at this time.

In addition to the Florida Premier League our U13 and older teams (boys and girls) will continue to be eligible to participate in the FYSA State Cup each spring and the club staff will utilize that competition as part of our program as well.

The "South Florida United Soccer Academy" represents a joint agreement and effort between Boca United and Soccer Academy & Training run by Roger and Laurie Thomas in the Parkland/Coral Springs area. Soccer Academy & Training consists primarily of younger aged players and both organizations will look to join our players as they reach the U13 and older age groups in an effort to put together stronger player pools and enhance their growth and development going forward.

We look forward to all the competitive challenges and opportunities our membership in the Florida Premier League will provide our players.  We are sure they will rise to the occasion.  Please inform all your friends and fellow competitive players and encourage them to join you in signing up and attending our 2012 Tryouts which will be held the week of May 29 to June 2.  On line registration for tryouts for all players (new and returning) is available on our website (www.GBYSA.org).

Our new membership in the Florida Premier League sets our club up for the next stage of growth on the national stage as we continue to strive to be "The best place to live and learn the beautiful game of football" in south Florida.  As always, we thank you for your support of our club.
